April 2 — World Autism Awareness Day. For us, this day is not about a diagnosis. It is a day about children. About their smiles, small victories, their unique view of the world, and the path they walk every day together with their parents. Every child with ASD feels, perceives, and expresses themselves in their own way. And in this uniqueness lies their strength.
At Mozaika we see every day how important it is not to try to fit a child into someone else’s expectations, but instead to help them unfold at their own pace. Through acceptance. Through support. Through a safe environment where they are heard and understood.
Today we want to remind: autism is not about being “not like others.” It is about a different path of development, which is equally valuable, important, and worthy of respect. Behind every child there is a whole world. A world of emotions, traits, talents, and possibilities. And our task as adults is not to change this world, but to gently help it unfold.
