The school for children with SEN in Kyiv has been operating since 2021. It is located in the very centre of the city, holds a licence for years 1 to 9, which allows students to receive state-recognised documents, and also has an international ISO quality certificate.

Curriculum
Education at the school is carried out according to the programmes recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, taking into account the individual abilities of each group (class).
Alongside the general school curriculum, work is also carried out throughout the year according to each child’s individual development plan.
Step 1
At the beginning of the year, the student is tested in line with the annual school curriculum, as well as assessed for needs in behavioural correction, speech, physical, and mental development.
Step 2
Based on the test results, taking into account the student’s individual characteristics and abilities, and the wishes of parents, the child’s school team – teacher, psychologist, speech therapist, physical therapist – prepares an individual development plan for the year.
Step 3
At the end of the year, testing and evaluation of the student’s progress and learning outcomes are carried out.
Extended day group
from 14:00 to 18:00
The Extended day group is a wonderful combination of learning, development, and rest under supervision.

A significant part of a child’s progress is achieved through individual sessions with specialists, which take place within the school during the school day.
Psychologist
Works on improving adaptation to the surrounding world, improving eye contact, developing communication and social skills, overcoming emotional difficulties, developing cognitive abilities, sensory sensitivity, and correcting development.
The number of sessions according to the timetable is included in the tuition fee. Additional paid sessions are available.
Physical therapist
Improving physical and mental condition, developing fine and gross motor skills, strengthening the body, ensuring an optimal regime of bodily movement functions, and other tasks depending on the child’s individual needs.

Speech therapist
Speech initiation, sound production, prevention of writing and reading difficulties, development of grammatical skills, vocabulary expansion, development and correction of visual and auditory contact, and other tasks according to the child’s individual needs.

Pre-school Education and preparation for School

Our school offers a preparatory class for children who need more time to adapt before starting school.
The programme focuses on developing basic skills such as sitting at a desk, developing graphomotor skills (including holding a pen), following classroom rules, the ability to manage time limits, developing proper communication with classmates and teachers, and acquiring basic academic knowledge.
Play-based learning methods are used to ensure a smooth transition from pre-school to school education.

Yes, according to the legislation, the child must undergo an assessment by the commission, and the school must be provided with the commission’s conclusion.
How is catering organised at school?
Our school does not provide organised catering, but we ensure comfortable conditions for children. students bring food in lunch boxes, which we store in the fridge and heat up if necessary.
How many students are in a class?
The number of students in each class depends on the functional abilities and individual needs of the children. In any case, there are up to 10 students per class, which allows us to provide attentive and professional support to each student, taking into account their individual development and learning needs.
How many teachers are in each class?
Each class has a teacher and a teaching assistant, ensuring an individual approach to every student and creating an environment for effective learning and development.
Why is a deposit required when enrolling at school?
The deposit guarantees that a place will be reserved for your child, and also offers convenience for parents: the deposit covers the payment for the final month of attendance, meaning you will not need to worry about it in the future.
