Hi everyone, here’s a new chapter of our journey around the world.
A year ago, I came to New York, USA for the first time. I looked around and thought: I need to toss a coin here so I can come back.
Mozaika has so many projects in mind, from developing educational materials and researching more effective teaching methods to understanding why certain approaches don’t work, and opening new schools in places where we are truly needed. But we haven’t always had the resources to bring these ideas to life.
We exist at the intersection of business and social impact, and not many people fully understand us. For the business world, we are too social and not “profitable enough” in the traditional sense, because our schools have to be accessible, but at the same time we have very high expenses. For the traditional social sector, we are too much of a business, because our schools are not free, and considering everything that goes into them, they are not cheap.
I kept thinking about where to find a mature environment that would truly understand us, and… I decided to open a foundation in New York.
I did this through Myriad. There were months of reviewing our reports, Mozaika’s documentation, and the foundation’s legal papers. Step by step, this brought us closer to our goal.
And now, we have a foundation in the USA.
Donations to our foundation are tax-deductible in the United States. We will maintain full transparency through our website, sharing how much we receive and how the funds are allocated across our projects.
We now also have access to an office on Fifth Avenue in New York. And with that… new opportunities.
